Buying a used car today usually means weeks of searching. Saved searches, the same ads re-listed, cars that turn out to be sold, and weekends spent driving across town to inspect something that doesn't match the photos.
Selling isn't much better. Private sellers pay to advertise, field calls from tyre-kickers and lowballers, and wait for the right buyer to stumble across their ad.
We started with PropOffer, a buyer-first property marketplace where buyers post their requirements and sellers respond. CarOffer brings the same idea to cars.
Buyers post the make, model, year, kilometres and budget they want. Private sellers and dealers who have a matching car send an offer. The buyer compares offers and contacts only the sellers they're interested in.
